Jan 30th marked the 9th annual Bell Let's Talk Day. This initiative, started by the company Bell Canada, highlights the importance of taking time to talk about mental health in workplaces, schools, and other social settings. Mental illness indirectly affects all of us at some time through a family member, friend, or colleague. In any given year, 1 in 5 people in both Canada and the US will experience a personal mental health concern. It can affect people of all ages, education, income levels, and cultures.
Mental health awareness is important, we encourage you to take the time to talk and to listen, let's help end the stigma surrounding mental health together, and build a generation of compassionate leaders. It's important for yourself, your team, your families and our organization to take advantage of resources to help increase wellness, reduce stigma and improve our workplace psychological health and safety.
